The Sector Training Steering Group looks for initiatives and projects that support the strengthening of the sectir through training and information. The practical initiatives of this group include:
Sector Training Calendar
This calendar, along with a noticeboard is one of our features on our website. This feature of our website has the option for members to list their own notices and receive regular notification of updates. The Training Calendar lists training events by date and is searchable through key words.
Newslink
This is our bi-monthly newsletter which provides important information to our members including: Parliament News, Legislation Updates, Current Issues, Funding Dates, and Street Appeals. We also have a section that is called 'Meet our Members' where four DCOSS Members are showcased per edition, and we have just instigated a 'From the Archives' with a column from previous Newslinks being highlighted. it is interesting to see what was of importance to our sector 10 years ago. Newslink is also available to members who want to raise issues or advertise events.
